I still remember the first time I saw someone wire wrapping. I was mesmerized by the way they were able to capture a beautiful stone in a way that displayed a whimsical skill. I eagerly asked them if I could sit down with them " would you please show me how you do that"? It was it was love at first sight. That was 2016 And I haven't stopped since. Y
Like playing the guitar, you do have to get over that slight pain that from holding tension the wire between your fingers. I even have calluses! There is so much push and pull and tension control when your wire wrapping that I believe makes you the kind of wire wrapper that you are. Some wire wrappers are better at controlling that tension than other wire wrappers. Some wire wrappers have a heavy hand so they go with a heavier gage or 1/2 hard wire instead of a dead soft wire. All I know is that if you keep practicing you will be able to achieve just about anything with wire and your hands.
